Easter in Japan

Here are just the highlights from our Easter here in Japan.
We did not do a lot.
We did Baskets/Dinner/Ice cream... and ... played some Wii & watched a Movie.
Please Enjoy the Pictures.
We had a very laid back Easter day.
We did not go to church, but we still had a lesson on 'What Easter Day really means to us".
We missed our Family so very much, but made the best of the 1st Easter in Japan, and the 1st Easter, where i did not cook a big dinner. (wow!)

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!
Photobucket
HAPPY EASTER TO MY BABIES!
THE EASTER BUNNY BROUGHT WEBKIN'S!

Our Favorite Yakiniku.
It's Above a Denny's and it's very family friendly and delish!!!

Yakiniku~cook the meat/veg at your table... very fun!

Olivia had fun cooking too! She is getting so big!
Photobucket
We all ate our full.

The bill was reasonable ... for 6,000 Yen (or $60) we were FULL and you had to roll us out!
The kids had fun too... and thats why we love Yakiniku!
Photobucket
After Yakiniku we took the train to Yokosuka Chup Station.
There is a Baskin Robin's Very Close to Yakiniku... but we needed to digest. So, we took the train (20 minutes)... to another ice cream shop.
Photobucket
By that time, ... we were all ready for a ice cream cone!
Ethan got Jamocha... Me? Strawberry Banana...
The kids? Rainbow and Cotton Candy!
Photobucket
Olivia, you are a doll!

Egg Coloring, Cookies and Cupcakes too!

Over the last 3 weeks we have been making some Yummy Easter Treats!

Today (Saturday) we colored eggs and also made a *new* Easter Egg Treat.

Lets start with a few weeks ago.
I made Cupcakes for Olivia's school class.
These were 2 cute, and a big hit.

Photobucket

A few days before/after the cupcakes we did a batch of Easter cookies.
We used a Super Simple Suger Cookie recipe.
Ethan especially loved them.
The kids always love to help. ---->
Photobucket
I usually give them their own 'dough' to play with. :)
They love that part...
Photobucket
ARE THEY DONE YET???
Photobucket
I have about 10 Easter Cutters.
Most of them are from MY Childhood.
Thanks Mom for giving me the cookie cutters... using them brings back many memories, and the kids REALLY enjoy them too.
Photobucket
The kids played a few games while we waited for the cookies to cool off.
I snapped this while Olivia was teaching Evan the game of Janken (Jan-ken-pon).
Photobucket
They are done!

Mommy's cookie....

Daddy's .......

um, and Olivia's........
Can we say "Mom told me i can have ONE cookie... so i am going to make it worth it"????? LMAO!
Photobucket
OK! And lets fast forward to today...
Here is our new found fun Easter Treat.
Easter Egg Crispy Treats! :)
I used our Jell-o Mold for Eggs... as a mold.
While the kids played out back Ethan and i had a BLAST making these, it was like... we were kids again!
Fun times!
Photobucket
We all had fun decorating them.
Great idea!

I made 3 dozen for all of us to play with.
I remember when Mom would make 6~12 each...
Good Ole' Easter Memories!
Oh, and she always used our same Soft Sided Fabric Easter Baskets... remember Mom?
Well... i think mine was Blue... and bunny like.
Anyways, we do the same... always using the same Easter Basket.
