Evan Graduates!

Evan Graduated the Yokosuka Co-Op Pre-K program a few weeks back.
He worked really hard, and did a fab job!!
Unfortunately, the Co-Op was forced into Closure This Year, After over 40 years.
It was more like a Legal Issue about fire codes and the fact the government would not allow the Co-Op repair the building (due to it being a "gift" to the Government... and they cant accept "gifts"....).
The Government wont repair the fire violation... so, it was forced into closure.

Besides that, We had a wonderful year... and We were super blessed to have to Co-Op as a resource.
I wish it could be around for more families, especially when Childcare/Preschool here in Yokosuka Japan is in a Major Struggle.

These 'Big Size' Badminton Set is Funny... but Evan's 'Big Size' Smile is Funnier... to me. LMAO!

It's Evan's Turn!!!

He learned to ride his bike w/ out trainers! :) Took, 2 days... and now he is goin goin goin!!! ;-)

(honestly though, he was 'made fun of' by a boy in our neighborhood and ... i think that motivated him INSTANTLY...Good for Him!!)

Evan get's a New Haircut!

We finally took the plunge and cut off All Evan's hair for the spring/summer!
He loves it... i miss the "tons of hair look"...

We, in the last few weeks have received a few boxes from family and friends.
You all have no idea what it does for the kids,... and their frame of mind.
We are truly thankful!!!!!
Unfortunately i did not have the camera ready, or a hand available for use when opening the other boxes ... but here are the 2 pictures i did happen to catch.

Evan Turns 5!!

Well, 2 days ago Evan turned 5!
It's hard to believe my baby is 5 years old. He has just grown so fast.
He still looks and feels like my Little Baby, but that wont be for long as we have a REALLY little baby coming soon. ;)
We generally dont do big parties, ... so I made Evan his Cake of choice, and icecream...
Also, he got to choose his favorite dinner (Shrimp Alfredo).
This weekend we will do something "fun" for his birthday... like maybe go grass sleding/bike riding.... something.
Anyways, we had a small party... and i let a neighbor friend come over for cake.
But, other than that, really low key. ;)

Evan's 1st Birthday-Party-Invite!

This weekend Evan attended his 1st Birthday Party!! His little friend from the Navy Lodge/Neighborhood invited him. BOY was he Excited!!!! This was a biggie for him. He made sure to let me know what gift he wanted for him, how to wrap the gift and so on. He is just getting SO big these days!
He had a blast! Here are a few pictures of Evan... having a blast with out Olivia. :) (This is pretty rare!)

With 3 'guests' and the birthday boy and his brother... it was a PERFECT size for a 4 yr olds birthday. :)

Yukuta Fun

On Saturday the kids and i decided to try on their Yukuta's.
I bought them, um... in the spring, and i wanted to make sure they still fit.
The both have Costume Parade's @ school coming up, and i thought its a perfect time to wear them. (It has to me "book" related.)
Anyways, the kids just took over, and told me what pictures they wanted.
So, i think because it was all their idea, the pic's turned out SO good! :)

I am not a pro @ these yukuta's... so i am not sure if i put them on "correctly"... but they looked cute anyways! :)

!~Evan got a new 'do'~!

Yesterday i took Evan to get a Haircut!
We could not handle the "mop" look anymore.
I adore his new 'do'................... :) He does too.

So, for some reason, i did not take many pictures of the New Sanno. :(
I thought i would but i was tired and in a hurry most of the time.
Here are a new from the outside, the day we left.
We were waiting for our bus.
Evan is blocking his face with his new airplane he got. :)

We did have a lot of fun, for that one night.
I did go ahead and reserve us in a King Room for 4 night in January. (Kind of like a Honeymoon/Birthday (s)/Baby-moon.... LOL).
We will see!

Evan & the ER

So Sunday the 13th Evan got a ride in an Ambulance. And Mommy got to Flip Out! haha
We were @ the NEX Furniture Store and he lost his balance sitting on a backless couch, and fell backwards into a Wood Table Edge, then hit the floor. When i picked him up, he was bleeding everywhere. He was screaming like never before. It was just the worst ever! The NEX quickly called 911 and they we're there in an instant. Olivia and I drove the car to the ER, while Ej rode w/ Evan. (Wow, how did i give him up to Ej?!? i don't know!).
When we arrived, the bleeding was controlled and the Doc was already working on Evan.
He had to get cleaned up, and get a numbing shot in his head and 2 staples. (he could have got 1~2 more, but the scar will be in the hair, so no need for Extra ones).
He was brave, and tried hard to not cry and so on. I was so sad for him 100%. He requested Daddy be in for the staples and so on.
Honestly, Daddy and Evan need that bonding time. Daddy had been gone for a lot of his life... until now. I am glad Evan is wanting Daddy and they are bonding.
Anyways, we got back on Sunday for removal. He has not had any fever/puss/complications, and has pretty much forgot about it. So,...i hope the removal wont be bad. The very next day he went for his 1st day @ school. haha.

And, it was good he had his own assigned seat and so on.
I know he will adore 'school'... maybe not the early mornings/schedule... but he will enjoy his school time.

Summer '09

I tried to pick photo's that would help you see how much the kids have grown this summer.
It's hard to explain / show when you guys (family & friends) are 1/2 way around the world.
But...
Here is Olivia at the end of school (1st grade) / beginning of summer.

Almost a size 3 for shoes.

Evan now wearing a size 5/6 or 6 boy sizes! No more "T or toddler sizes".

As someone pointed out, at least they grew like weeds in the summer when shorts and dresses were the main clothing. If they grew this way in the winter, we would be going through pants like Crazy! haha
